Engaging Opportunities

Parent involvement is a big part of the Holy Names experience. We know that open and frequent communication between parents and the school helps our students achieve academic and personal success.

Scheduled parent-teacher meetings, written reports and our online parent portal keep parents apprised of their student’s progress. That's important to us, and we know it's important to our parents.

In addition to attending activities like concerts, plays and sports, parents are also invited to participate in several events aimed at fostering parent-daughter relationships within the AHN community. Among them are

  • “Back-to-School” Night
  • Mother-Daughter Luncheon & Liturgy
  • Father-Daughter Dinner Dance

Parents can also get involved with Holy Names’ programs and activities through involvement in these parent-led organizations:

Home-School Association

Our Home-School Association works with the school to plan and implement various activities, as well as providing support to enhance school programs. It sponsors such events as: Back-to-School Night, Mother-Daughter Luncheon, Father-Daughter Dinner Dance, and 8th Grade Graduation Luncheon.

Friends of the Arts

This volunteer group works to promote, enhance, and support the arts. The group raises funds that are used to improve such things as lighting and sound in the Campus Arts Center. These parents also build sets and do other behind-the-scenes activities for our musical and drama productions. To learn more about Friends of the Arts and download their brochure, click here.

Annual Mother-Daughter Luncheon

Booster Club

The Booster Club supports our athletics department and the endeavors of teams and clubs in both the Middle and High School divisions. This volunteer group meets regularly throughout the school year and is open to all parents, guardians, and faculty interested in encouraging girls and young women to experience the spirit and joys of sport at Holy Names. Financial support is derived from annual dues, admission fees, concession and fundraising proceeds and private gifts. To learn more about the Booster Club's activities, click here.
