Common Sense Media is a great resource for families. Check it out for information about understanding COVID-19 news coverage, how to stay calm for yourself and your kids, learning at home and homework help. It also has great lists of what to read, watch and play while staying home together. Common Sense Media
Do you meditate or want to give it a try now? The Calm app is a great resource with meditation exercises and calming music.
Dr. Lisa Damour, author Untangled and Under Pressure, (must reads for anyone who lives or works with teen girls), writes about the losses being faced by teens today as events and rituals of high school are cancelled. Dr. Damour

Based on our reviews of initial performance and assessments of our online learning plan, the following accommodations were made to reduce screen time and student stress.
The number of class meetings per week were reduced.
Class time has been reduced to 35 minutes.
PE teacher, Mrs. Pentak, is informing students about her requirement while school is closed---1.5 hours of off screen activity during the week that is to be recorded in a log.
Students do not have to report to FLEX period or study halls. They should use these as free time.
