The Arts at Holy Names

We promote the performing and visual arts in every way we can. We know our students have talent and we want to see that talent flower.

In the area of the performing arts, we offer classes in Classical Musical Theory  and major musical productions. In the visual arts, we have classes in drawing, painting, pottery, photography, and graphic design.

With this kind of commitment to the arts, it should come as no surprise to learn that Holy Names students have been accepted into many prestigious programs at colleges such as the Fashion Institute of Technology and Rochester Institute of Technology.

Some of this success happens because we give our stars many opportunities to shine. Seasonal concerts draw large, appreciative audiences, and our musicals are big crowd pleasers.

Our visual artists can also show off their array of talents. Their work is  displayed in our hallway all year long and during our annual art shows. The work is very impressive indeed.

On Stage at Holy Names

Musicals at AHN are exciting, popular and spectacular! They are performed on the stage of our Campus Arts Center and each production is a community effort, with parents working alongside students and faculty to create our extraordinary shows. Musicals are produced within both school divisions, giving all our students opportunities to perform on stage or work behind the scenes on sound or lighting.

Some of our recent productions include:

  • Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
  • Mary Poppins
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Oklahoma!
  • The Lion King
