Unleash Your Imagination, Create Art, Perfect Your Audition and Performance Skills!
We're introducing an exciting enrichment program in the arts for girls and boys in grades 4-8, and an intensive Musical Theater preparation program for girls and boys at the high school level.
If that sounds like fun for your daughter or son, then Holy Names’ Summer Arts Programs may be just the place for him or her.
The Arts for Girls and Boys entering grades 4-8
July 6-9 and July 12-16, 8:30-3:30, extended day available.
We’ll focus on all three areas of the arts; theater, music, and visual art, exploring, creating, and performing in a community dedicated to inspiring and engaging the creative side of all students.
Musical Theater: Work with music from selected musicals, for solo and ensemble singing. Learn to communicate the emotion, intention, and relationships between characters through voice, body and movement.
Visual Arts: Explore a wide variety of creative media. Whether it’s painting, pastels, paper mache, or recycled bottles, we'll nurture the artists' vision and encourage them throughout the process. We'll practice different artistic styles and techniques, from realistic drawing to abstract group collaboration.
Programs culminate in videotaped performances and take-home art projects. Students will finish the week with new skills and new friends!
